This website, thehabitfiles.com, is operated by The Habit Files (“we”). You can reach us at contact@thehabitfiles.com.
What we collect
Very little. The site has no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no forms. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click Accept all cookies in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories people read and how they move through them. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is processed by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC on our behalf and may be transferred outside the EU under Google’s data-transfer safeguards.
If you click Essential cookies only, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. The legal basis for analytics is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operations.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or erased;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@thehabitfiles.com.
Withdrawing consent
Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page and choose Essential cookies only. Analytics stops and the analytics cookies are removed. See our cookie policy for details.
